Our first recommendation is to set up a consultation with one of our aestheticians to discuss skin care. If you are looking for a minimally invasive approach, Dr. Heck is skilled in Botox & Dysport injectables, and Juvederm and Restylane which are facial fillers. Dr. Heck can turn back time and smooth away the wrinkles on your forehead, between your brows, around the crow’s feet, and above the upper lip. He can also bring back volume to the deep lines that can form around your mouth and nose and even give you a fuller pout. Facial fillers are used to fill out the parentheses or other facial wrinkles and folds leaving a softer and natural appearance. These fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane consist of a smooth gel which is injected into the facial wrinkles to bring back volume and soften away those lines. The procedure takes about 10 minutes in the office. Since the products now contain a numbing medication called Lidocaine, the procedure is virtually pain-free and requires minimal downtime. Fillers are great because you will see the difference immediately, and the effects last up to a year.

Botox and Dysport are injectables that are best used for the lines and wrinkles that form on the forehead, between your brows, and around the eyes. These injections are quick and simple and take about 10 minutes. There is no downtime, and the effects of Botox and Dysport last up to 4 months.

Which injectable is right for you? This will depend on the signs of aging that you wish to reverse. You may not have any lines or folds around the mouth or nose, but you may wish to rid yourself of the small worry lines on your forehead. In that case, you could turn to Botox or Dysport. If instead you wish to rid yourself of the laugh lines around your mouth, then Juvederm or Restylane would be right for you.

According to The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, vaginal rejuvenation procedures increased 100.7% from 2008-2009! One possible explanation for this sharp increase is that more and more women are discovering the benefits of this surgery.

Women choose this surgery for multiple reasons. There are those who are self-conscious with the large appearance of their labia when wearing tight fitting pants or when being intimate with their partner. Other women who experience pain due to enlarged labia during intercourse or exercise also seek out the surgery. Then, there are those who truly just want to look and feel younger and choose the surgery to reverse the aging process.

As we all know, over time the signs of aging appear on all aspects of our body including the labia manora. The aging labia lose volume, increase in length, and become pigmented. There are several procedures including labiaplasty and filler injections to the labia, which can help restore a more youthful appearance.
