Facial Rejuvenation is made up of multiple surgeries that can be performed together or separate depending on the areas of interest and the goals of the patient. This includes: face lifts, neck lifts, rhinoplasty (nose jobs), and facial rejuvination surgery. As we all grow older, our skin starts to show signs of aging and exposure to the elements. With facial surgery, Dr. Robert Heck can restore and rejuvenate your facial appearance and leave you looking natural and youthful once again. By removing sagging skin, smoothing out deep wrinkles, and tightening facial muscles, he can correct the signs of aging.

Facelift (Rhytidectomy)

Mini Face Lift

A mini face lift is ideal for those patients who just start to notice deepening lines and sagging skin around the jaws and lower face. The surgery is less invasive with a shorter recovery time than a full face lift. During the surgery, an incision is placed in front of and below the ear. The sagging skin along the lower face is tightened to give you a natural appearance. 

Full Face Lift

A full face lift is ideal for those patients who have deep wrinkles between the nose and mouth, sagging skin along the cheeks, jowl formation, and excess skin and fat on the neck. During the surgery, the incision is larger but discretely placed again in front of and below the ear, extending into or along the hair line. The excess skin and fat is removed from the face and neck, the facial and neck muscles can be repositioned and tightened if needed, a smooth jaw-line is re-established, and depth and definition is restored to your face.

Dr. Heck performs face lifts alone or in conjunction with eyelid surgery, brow lifts, laser surgery, and other cosmetic procedures. Smart Lipo® or VASER® Liposelection can be combined with a face lift to help contour the face and remove unwanted fat deposits. Dr. Heck tailors his surgical approach to each patient based on the condition of your skin and bone structure and will determine if you are a candidate for a combined procedure.

Neck Lift

A neck lift is included in a full face lift but can also be performed alone based on patient need. During a neck lift, Dr. Heck removes the loose sagging skin and areas of fat under the chin, corrects the visible vertical bands, and tightens the neck muscles. Dr. Heck makes the incisions in front of and behind the ear extended slightly into the hair line to give you a slim, sleek silhouette.

Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Blepharoplasty is the best eyelid surgery to tighten and restore shape to droopy or hooded eyelids, eliminate unwanted fatty bags under the eyes, and correct asymmetries between the eyelids. The position of the incisions is customed to meet the individual needs of the patient. With a traditional blepharoplasty, the incision is made along the lash line for the lower eyelid and the incision is made in the crease of the upper lid for the upper eyelid.

Brow Lift

A brow lift will raise a low, heavy appearing brow through 2 or 3 small incisions behind the hairline. It can really open the eyes and give you a rested appearance.

Rhinoplasty (Nose Job)

Rhinoplasty can reshape and change the size of your nose to enhance your overall facial appearance. These are commonly known as "nose jobs". Dr. Heck can remove a large tip, eliminate a prominent hump, and correct asymmetry. The placement of incisions varies depending on the amount of re-shaping and contouring of the nose.

Recovery and Results

Facial rejuvenation surgeries can take place at an outpatient surgery center under general anesthesia or possibly in our office under local anesthesia. The surgery time varies based on procedure as well as recovery. With all facial surgeries, you may notice swelling and bruising which resolves as you heal. During your consultation, Dr. Heck will discuss with you in detail what to expect after surgery and when you can resume work and social activities. You will be provided with a script for pain medication to ease your discomfort. You may be asked to wear a chin strap for a week following your facial or neck surgery.

Follow-up

After having a cosmetic surgery with Dr. Heck, all your follow- up visits will be complimentary for an entire year. To ensure optimal results, always continue to follow your post-operative instructions and follow-up with Dr. Heck as instructed. If any questions or concerns should arise, please notify Dr. Heck or his staff so that they can be addressed in a timely manner.
