Q: Who is a candidate for cosmetic surgery?
A person who is motivated and understands the surgical procedure, and one who has realistic expectations with regards to results and recovery both emotionally and physically.
Q: What type of anesthesia will be used?
Dr. Heck will decide what type of anesthesia he will use based on your age, health history, and the type of surgery. Dr. Heck always has patient safety as his top priority.
Q: Where is the surgery performed?
Plastic surgery performed under local anesthesia would take place at our Upper Arlington or Easton office. Surgery performed under general anesthesia would take place at an outpatient surgery center or a hospital.
Q: Is cosmetic surgery covered by medical insurance?
Cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. Cosmetic surgery is considered elective and not a medical necessity.
Q: Can I finance my cosmetic surgery?
There are several options when financing cosmetic surgery. Our office offers financing through CareCredit, SurgeryLoans.com, and MyMedicalLoan.com.
Q: Is plastic surgery safe?
Yes. For the most part plastic surgery is safe when you are an appropriate candidate, it is performed by a board certified plastic surgeon, and it takes place in the appropriate setting. There are risks and limitations associated with all surgery, and these will be discussed by Dr. Heck at the time of your consultation.
