As breast surgery is becoming more and more popular, it is not surprising that accompanying procedures have been developed to improve results or make them last longer. The Laser Bra is a technique that Dr. Heck uses to provide a more natural shape to the lifted or reduced breast and to provide a longer lasting support than the traditional breast lift. The Laser Bra is like an “internal brassiere” fashioned entirely of your own tissue that cannot be felt and gives Dr. Heck the ability to create a youthful and attractive breast.
Dr. Heck trained with Dr. W. Grant Stevens of Marina del Ray who created the Laser Bra technique. Dr. Heck has been performing the Laser Bra procedure in Columbus, Ohio for over eight years with excellent results.
During your consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss your concerns and expectations with Dr. Heck. He will show you many preoperative and postoperative photographs and discuss whether you are a good candidate for this procedure.
Please keep in mind that age is not a factor. One of the great benefits of the Laser Bra is that the nipple is not detached, therefore; the majority of women maintain nipple sensation. Women are incredibly impressed with their results and believe they have regained the perkiness of their youth. Don’t you think it is about time that you experience those results?
During the surgery, an excess flap of skin below the nipple that is usually removed and discarded is instead saved and specifically prepared using a CO2 laser. The flap of skin is then used to create an internal bra that is attached from the base of the breast to the upper chest wall to create a perkier breast that retains its shape for a longer period of time. This technique can be combined with a breast augmentation, breast reduction, or traditional breast lift to give your breasts a more shapely and lifted appearance.
Patients who have undergone the Laser Bra procedure have no complaints of discomfort from this type of support system. There is no increased risk of infection or rejection. This procedure generally takes approximately 1 ½ hours to 2 hours to perform and can be done as an outpatient procedure. Patients usually feel minimal discomfort or pain following surgery. There is usually minimal blood loss and rarely bruising. Recovery time is generally 3 to 5 days for resumption of normal daily activities. It is approximately 4 to 6 weeks before women can return to physical activity and exercising. For those women who have been concerned about achieving a natural appearance of the breast or the longevity of their postoperative results, the Laser Bra technique affords a natural, safe, and long lasting approach to breast surgery.
